We love this pack for our dog.
He is still on the smaller end of the M measurements but should fit it quite well as he reaches full size.
he looks very cute in it and it holds all the water he can drink on a hike (plus his bowl, treats, etc). there is a mesh pocket inside both pockets and the zippers are sturdy too. the snaps to fasten it to him are strong and easy to use although the straps are super super long and theres no way to fasten up the excess. we did have to stop a few times to re wrap the excess around the straps to keep it from dragging under him and possibly tripping him.
he adjusted to the weight of it quickly and seemed to like it too.
i also like the velcro off feature - very handy.
the only drawback i see is that the packaging didnt explain everything very well so you are left guessing that hte leash goes through the handle and such.
