We and our 2 dogs live in south Texas. Even though our dogs are indoors, in air conditioning except for an occasional potty break, there are times when they begin to pant heavily. This also happens when they get excited on road trips which last 3-4 hours. We are very happy with our Kool Coolar. This has been a wonderful solution for them. We use them with the gel packs and with ice. They reccomend only using the ice outdoors, but we have used it indoors. Yes there is a wet spot or two where our dogs go when wearing the collar with ice, but it's only water and drys. Our dogs LOVE their Kool Collar!
