My dog was fine with the pads - he did not try to chew them off or anything. They helped to add a bit more traction to his step during a period of sickness whan he was VERY unstable on his feet. However, they did come off, one by one over time. I suppose going outside in the rain, mud, snow, etc. loosened the adhesive.
